My Story

Hi, I am Sharon (Briscoe), a mum of three and a grandmother of four. I am a qualified chef and I have recently qualified with a Practitioners level diploma
In nutrition (NHFDip) And advanced practitioner level diploma in nutrition (NHFAdvDip) 2018-2020 at The nutritional healing foundation.  I am a Yin Yoga instructor; a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner and I’m qualified in Indian Head Massage.

My journey to changing my life began seven years ago, following reoccurring illnesses that were not improving from treatment using allopathic/conventional medicines. Like many as a child I had a regular (westernised) diet, meat and two veg, breads, pizza, chips etc. I was constantly tired; I would come home from school and sleep. I experienced recurrent migraines, blurred vision and what felt like perpetual candid infections. My friends would laugh as within minutes of eating a cake my stomach would swell to that of a “pregnancy stomach”.

Into adulthood, although I went to the gym regularly, bought healthy low-fat options of food, the symptoms persisted and even worsened, resulting in me feeling very low, sluggish and with little energy. I tried all the latest diets, but my health never improved. I was constantly being put on antibiotics, and then placed on medication to counter the effects of the prescribed drugs. I decided to do my own research into health matters.

I always knew deep down that nature could provide everything with her own perfect medicine, but thought the answers lay somewhere in the amazon rainforest or an exotic island. I didn’t realise the answer was in my own back garden. I changed my diet from a meat eater and adopted an organic, whole food, plant-based diet. My health began to improve radically, and it took me a further two years to become symptom free and of optimum health. All my friends and family noticed a total change in me physically, mentally and emotionally. I also made changes to my spiritual wellbeing which supported my life changes.

My experience became my purpose, I knew I wanted to help people and change their lifestyle, so that they were no longer co-dependent on “pills & potions”. I therefore combined my chefs’ skills with the training from the NHF diploma to bring these changes via this website, and the workshops/events provided. I look forward to sharing your healing journey with you, both in the kitchen and on the yoga mat!

We will look at healing with nutrition, diet , lifestyle and stress, incorporating supplements and naturopath techniques to develop a plan that best suits your individual needs .
